The Houston Astros have activated outfielder Taylor Trammell from the 10-day injured list this Monday.

Trammell, 27, showed a solid performance in the minor leagues, batting .293 with two home runs and 10 RBIs in 12 games, while recovering from a right calf strain.

Acquired from the New York Yankees in November, Trammell has yet to debut with the Astros.

The player, selected in the first round of the 2016 draft, has a batting average of .167 with 15 home runs and 39 RBIs in 126 games during his career, playing for the Seattle Mariners (2021-23), Los Angeles Dodgers (2024) and Yankees (2024).

To make room on the roster, Houston sent infielder Shay Whitcomb to Triple-A Sugar Land after Sunday’s 8-7 victory against the Los Angeles Angels.
