Royals Bolster Roster with Adam Frazier’s Return

Kansas City Royals has announced the re-signing of experienced infielder Adam Frazier, in a strategic move made during the All-Star break. The agreement was finalized with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. In the transaction, the Royals sent minor league player Cam Devanney to Pittsburgh. Frazier, 33, has participated in 78 games this season, playing second base, left field, and right field. His batting average is .255, with 21 RBIs. Last season, Frazier was part of the Royals after having a career in the Major Leagues that began with the Pirates. Throughout his career, since his debut in 2016, he has played in all positions except catcher and pitcher. The arrival of Frazier comes at a crucial moment for the Royals, who are 4.5 games away from the last wild card spot in the American League. In addition, they are 12 games away from Detroit in the fight for first place in the American League Central Division. Devanney, 28, has played this season in Triple-A Omaha and has yet to debut in the Major Leagues.
