ST. LOUIS – Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley had to leave Friday’s game against St. Louis after three innings due to an abdominal strain.
Riley was replaced by pinch hitter Luke Williams at the start of the fourth inning.
In the first inning, Riley hit a run-scoring single and scored a run.
Riley, 28, has participated in all 93 games this season. The two-time All-Star played in all but eight games over three seasons, from 2021 to 2023, before participating in 110 games last year.
So far this season, Riley is batting .274 with 14 home runs and 48 RBIs.
