J.T. Realmuto Leaves Game After Impact in Sensitive Area
The Phillies catcher, J.T. Realmuto, was forced to leave Wednesday’s game in the ninth inning after being hit in the protective area by a foul tip from Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette.He is being checked by the doctor at the moment.

The incident occurred in the second inning of the game, leaving Realmuto on the ground for a few minutes. The player was substituted by Rafael Marchán.

Manager Rob Thomson reported that Realmuto did not leave the stadium to receive medical attention and was in the Philadelphia clubhouse after the game.
Realmuto, after the hit, got up and left the field with difficulty. Jordan Romano, who was on the mound, commented that the hit must have been painful and hoped that Realmuto would be okay.
Before leaving the game, Realmuto was batting .225 with five home runs and 22 RBIs, and had connected for a hit in three at-bats.
