Shohei Ohtani Unstoppable: Brilliant Performance against the Giants

Dodgers’ star Shohei Ohtani continues his triumphant return after elbow surgery, demonstrating his worth on the mound. In the recent encounter against the San Francisco Giants, Ohtani pitched three impeccable innings, allowing no runs.

This was the fifth time this season that Ohtani served as a starter, after not pitching in 2024. In his performance, he threw 36 pitches, of which 25 were strikes. He allowed only one hit and struck out three batters in the first inning, where his fastball reached 99.9 mph on two occasions.

The only runners the Giants managed to get on base against Ohtani were thanks to a walk to Jung Hoo Lee in the second inning and a single by Mike Yastrzemski in the third. Ohtani left the game with a 1-0 lead after three innings. In addition to his work on the mound, the Japanese player also served as designated hitter and batted in the first turn. In his first two at-bats, he hit ground balls. In the current season, Ohtani has allowed one run and five hits in nine innings.
