Brady House Makes it to the Major Leagues with the Nationals
Third baseman Brady House was promoted by the Washington Nationals from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, marking the most recent debut of a rookie with the team this season.
In moves prior to the start of a series against the Colorado Rockies, the team with the worst record in Major League Baseball, the Nationals also made other adjustments.
- Outfielder Daylen Lile was called up from Rochester.
- Outfielder Robert Hassell III and infielder Jose Tena were sent to the Triple-A affiliate.
- Infielder Juan Yepez was designated for assignment.
The Nationals began Monday with an eight-game losing streak and a 30-41 record.
House, 22 years old, was the number 11 pick in the 2021 amateur draft.
House was considered the number 2 prospect for Washington and number 46 overall in MLB earlier this month. He leads the club’s minor league system with 13 home runs, 41 RBIs, a .519 slugging percentage, and an .872 OPS in 65 games in Triple-A in 2025.
Lile made his debut in the Major Leagues in May.
Hassell, another rookie, batted .218 with a home run and eight RBIs in 21 games since his debut.
Tena batted .248 in 44 games with the Nationals this season.
