Toronto Teams’ Schedule Changes During the World Series
The Maple Leafs and Raptors have adjusted the schedules of their upcoming games to avoid overlapping with the Blue Jays’ World Series games.The Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto will host Games 1 and 2 of the World Series this Friday and Saturday. Each game in the best-of-seven series is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET. The Raptors’ home opener against Milwaukee on Friday was moved up from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the Maple Leafs’ game against Buffalo on Saturday was changed from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Leafs also adjusted the start time of next Tuesday’s game against Calgary to 6 p.m. The Raptors will host Houston at 6:30 p.m. on October 29. The Maple Leafs and Raptors will also show the World Series games on the Scotiabank Arena video screen after their games.“Each of these game time changes is quite complicated and represents the cooperation of many stakeholders, including the respective leagues, the Leafs, Raptors coaches and players, and the opposing teams, as well as the broadcasters,” said Pelley. “We are grateful to everyone for their help as we work to make this a very special moment for Toronto fans as we come together to support the Blue Jays.”
