Logan Evans Misses the 2026 Season Due to Injury
Seattle Mariners right-handed pitcher Logan Evans will not be available for the 2026 season due to surgery on his right elbow, as announced by General Manager Justin Hollander on Friday.
Evans, 24, underwent Tommy John surgery on his right arm on January 23. The estimated recovery time for Evans is 12 months.
In the 2025 season, Evans made his MLB debut with the Mariners, who were one win away from their first World Series appearance. Evans participated in 16 games, made 15 starts, and accumulated a 6-5 record with a 4.32 ERA in 81⅓ innings. He recorded 59 strikeouts and 31 walks, being one of the Mariners’ top pitching prospects before the 2025 season.
Evans, who debuted in the major leagues on April 27 against the Miami Marlins, was selected in the 12th round by the Mariners in the 2023 MLB draft, coming from the University of Pittsburgh, and also pitched at Penn State during his college career.
