Jim Harbaugh gives advice after scare in Orioles game

Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh shared a funny anecdote and some advice following an incident at a Baltimore Orioles game. A foul ball nearly hit his brother, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, and legendary baseball player Cal Ripken Jr., during an Orioles game. The incident occurred when a deflected throw from Detroit Tigers player Wenceel Pérez bounced between John Harbaugh and Ripken, before ending up in the stands.

Perhaps there is a lesson.

Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman reacted quickly, approaching John Harbaugh and Ripken to joke with them after the incident. Jim Harbaugh, after speaking with reporters and leaving the room, returned to share his advice. Harbaugh commented that his older brother was a “tremendous infielder” in his day, but noted that he didn’t wear a glove in the game. In the match, the Orioles, who are in last place, defeated the Tigers, leaders of the American League Central Division, with a score of 10-1.
