WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Jasson Domínguez had a historic night on Friday, hitting three home runs for the New York Yankees against the Athletics. This was the highlight game in the young player’s career.

Dominguez entered the game with only two home runs on the season and eight in 191 at-bats since his major league debut in 2023.

The gardener hit a solo home run in the third inning against Osvaldo Bido, another solo home run against Hogan Harris in the seventh, and closed his night with a grand slam in the eighth inning against Elvis Alvarado. According to historical data, this is only the seventh time in the history of the Yankees franchise that a player has managed to hit three or more home runs, including a grand slam, in the same game.

Dominguez also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning, totaling seven RBIs in the Yankees’ 10-2 victory. At 22 years and 91 days old, he became the youngest player in Yankees history to achieve a three-home run game.

Two of Domínguez’s home runs were hit from the left side of the plate, and the one he hit against Harris was from the right side, becoming the fifth player this season to achieve at least three home runs in a game.
