PHOENIX – Eugenio Suárez continues to be hot with the bat, demonstrating his power with his fifth home run in the last three games. The solo shot was hit against the Houston Astros last Monday night.

The 34-year-old player, who is one of the most coveted bats in baseball as the July 31st trade deadline approaches, leads the National League with 36 home runs.

Suárez was named National League Player of the Week for the fourth time this season on the same Monday.

The All-Star third baseman hit two home runs against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday and repeated the feat on Sunday.

Suárez joins Reggie Sanders (2001) and J.D. Martinez (2017) as the third D-backs player to hit seven home runs in a span of six games. He is the first to achieve this feat in the Major Leagues since Aaron Judge in 2024.

Suárez, who will be a free agent this offseason, has long been considered one of the best hitters on the market for potential buyers at the deadline.

However, it’s unclear if the D-backs will be willing to trade Suárez, as they entered Monday’s game on the fringes of the playoff race with a 50-50 record.
