Dodgers Announce Rotation for World Series Start
The Los Angeles Dodgers have confirmed their pitching rotation for the first two games of the World Series, with Blake Snell starting Game 1 and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2. This decision replicates the pitching order used by the Dodgers in the first two games of the National League Championship Series, where they swept the Milwaukee Brewers in four games. Snell had an outstanding performance in Game 1, achieving 10 strikeouts in eight innings without allowing runs. He became the first Dodgers pitcher to complete eight innings in a postseason game, allowing only one hit or less. Yamamoto also shone in Game 2, throwing a complete game with only three hits allowed, marking the first time a Dodgers pitcher had achieved this feat in the postseason since 2004. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that the starting pitchers for Games 3 and 4, which will be played at Dodger Stadium, have not yet been decided, but suggested that Tyler Glasnow and Shohei Ohtani could follow that order.Ohtani, who was named MVP of the National League Championship Series, had a crucial performance in Game 4, with 10 strikeouts and three home runs, securing the Dodgers’ pass to the World Series for the second consecutive time. The Dodgers’ starters combined for a total of 35 strikeouts in the National League Championship Series. Snell, Yamamoto, Glasnow, and Ohtani recorded an ERA of 0.63 against the Brewers, allowing only two earned runs in 28¾ innings. Roberts also mentioned that the bullpen alignment is still being discussed, considering that the Blue Jays team presents some right-handed power hitters that the Dodgers did not previously face.I think we’re going to stick with the same rotation, for sure for the first two games.

Reliever Tanner Scott is eligible for the World Series roster after being removed from the National League Division Series roster due to emergency surgery. He is in good health, according to reports. Roberts indicated that they are awaiting full medical clearance for Scott, and that they will observe his progress in workouts and bullpen sessions. There’s one position we could debate, and we’ll continue to debate. Aside from that position, it’ll probably look exactly the same.
