Diamondbacks Activate Injured List for Eduardo Rodríguez
PHOENIX – The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez on the injured list this Friday due to shoulder inflammation.Rodríguez, 32, has struggled this season, with a 1-3 record and a 7.05 ERA in nine starts. In his last four outings, he has allowed 21 earned runs in 16 innings.
Ryne Nelson, right-handed pitcher, is the most likely candidate to take Rodríguez’s place in the rotation. Nelson has an ERA of 5.13 in 10 appearances, including one start.
In addition, the Diamondbacks have added right-handed pitchers Christian Montes De Oca and Scott McGough to their roster, and have sent left-hander Joe Mantiply to Triple-A Reno.
