Christian Yelich Leaves Game After Being Hit by a Pitch
The Milwaukee Brewers’ designated hitter, Christian Yelich, had to leave Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies after being hit by a pitch in the first inning.The Brewers reported that Yelich suffered a contusion on his right hand. He was hit by a 90 mph fastball thrown by Ranger Suárez. Although he remained in the game, he was substituted by pinch hitter Eric Haase in the third inning.
In the current season, Yelich has a batting average of .233, leading the team with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs. On Saturday, in the 17-7 victory over the Phillies, he got four hits and on Friday night he hit two home runs.Last season, Yelich missed 81 games due to a lower back injury.
