Atlanta Braves Announce BravesVision as Their Local Television Home

The Atlanta Braves have announced that BravesVision will be their local television home, starting with the 2026 season. The franchise will assume full control of the production, sales, marketing, and distribution of more than 140 televised games each season. This decision marks a significant change, as the Braves chose to directly manage the broadcasts instead of delegating them to Major League Baseball (MLB). The announcement comes in a context of changes in the broadcast of MLB games. Teams like the Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Rays reported that MLB will produce and distribute their local broadcasts this season. MLB will produce the broadcasts for a total of 14 teams this season. In addition, the league will distribute the Braves and Angels games directly to consumers via braves.tv and angels.tv. The Braves are finalizing agreements to partner with cable, satellite, and streaming services. BravesVision broadcasts will also be available on the MLB streaming platform.

“Bringing the broadcasts back under the control of our organization” will be welcomed by the fans who used to watch the team on TBS.

Derek Schiller, President and CEO of the Braves
Schiller added that with BravesVision, the team will seek to present Braves baseball in new and innovative ways, expanding and elevating storytelling capabilities across all its platforms. According to the team, a “select number” of games will be available at no cost on Gray Media’s television station network in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. These games will be announced before the start of the season. Gray Media will also broadcast 15 Braves spring training games.
