ATLANTA – The Atlanta Braves have placed outfielder Jake Fraley on the 10-day injured list due to a right oblique strain, prior to Sunday’s game against the Houston Astros.
The decision was made retroactively to Thursday.
To cover this absence, the Braves added infielder Luke Williams to the Major League roster.
In the current season, Fraley has recorded a batting average of .241, with six home runs, playing for the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves. His performance with the Braves has been notable, with a .304 average in nine games.
Williams, a versatile player and emerging runner, has maintained a batting average of .133, with five stolen bases in 38 games with Atlanta.
