Phillies’ Alec Bohm to Injured List with Rib Fracture
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left rib fracture.
Bohm’s injury occurred a week ago, when he was hit by a pitch from San Diego Padres pitcher Yu Darvish.
After missing Sunday’s game against the Padres before the All-Star break, Bohm participated in Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels.
In the current season, Bohm is batting .278, with eight home runs and 42 RBIs in 92 games.
To fill Bohm’s roster spot, utility player Weston Wilson was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley before Saturday night’s game against the Angels.
