Andrés Giménez to the Injured List with a Sprained Ankle
The Toronto Blue Jays have placed second baseman Andrés Giménez on the 10-day injured list due to a left ankle sprain.
Giménez was removed from Friday’s game, where the Toronto Blue Jays won 4-3 against the Los Angeles Angels. The player twisted his left ankle while covering second base on Wednesday against the New York Yankees and did not play on Thursday when Toronto completed a four-game series sweep. His inclusion on the injured list was retroactive to Saturday. Giménez has a batting average of .218 with five home runs and 23 RBIs for the Blue Jays, leaders of the American League East.Additional Roster Moves

Additionally, right-handed pitcher Lázaro Estrada was sent to Triple-A and outfielder Will Robertson was designated for assignment.
Burr had been out of action due to a problem in his right shoulder and rehabilitated with Triple-A Buffalo, where he struck out 17 in 12 1/3 innings in 11 games, achieving a record of 1-0 with an ERA of 3.65.
Loperfido was in the lineup on Sunday, batting eighth and playing in right field. This season in Triple-A, the 26-year-old player has a batting average of .278 with nine home runs and 36 RBIs.
Estrada made his debut in the Major Leagues against the Angels on Saturday, striking out four in four innings as a reliever.
Robertson made his MLB debut last month and participated in three games. He had a hit and an RBI with Toronto.
