A’s Hit 3 Straight Homers Against Padres’ King

Mesa, Arizona – In an exciting Grapefruit League matchup, Henry Bolte, Breyson Guedez, and Nick Kurtz hit consecutive home runs against Michael King of the San Diego Padres during the Athletics’ game on Friday.

Bolte started the streak with a three-run home run, sending the ball 401 feet to right field, after an 0-1 pitch in the fourth inning. Guedez continued the offense, connecting an impressive 450-foot hit also to right field, on the first pitch he saw from King.

The home run streak culminated with Kurtz, who sent the ball over the left field fence on King’s next pitch.

The game ended with the Padres’ victory, with a score of 13-9.

Kurtz seeks to consolidate his performance after an outstanding 2025 season, where he won the American League Rookie of the Year award and recorded a batting average of .290, with an on-base percentage of .383, hitting 36 home runs and driving in 86 runs in 117 games.
