Yamashita maintains the lead at the Women’s British Open, but the pressure increases

Porthcawl, Wales – Miyu Yamashita had a tough day on the course, struggling off the tee and on the greens, leading to a round of 74 strokes (+2) at the Women’s British Open. Despite this, she managed to hold onto the lead, although now with only a one-stroke advantage over A Lim Kim. Yamashita, who began the third round with a three-stroke lead, failed to hit a single fairway in the last 11 holes, but still remained on top at Royal Porthcawl. On the 17th hole, she was close to losing the lead, but she managed a great putt from the bunker, saving par. Then, she missed a birdie on the final hole, which left her with a total of 9 under par (207).

Nelly Korda, the world number one, is nine strokes off the top and could end the major season without titles.
