Yamashita leads the Women’s Open with a 3-stroke lead

In the Women’s British Open, Miyu Yamashita demonstrated impeccable play, securing a three-stroke lead over Rio Takeda. The Japanese golfer, with an impressive 7-under par 65, dominated the Royal Porthcawl course with a performance that included crucial birdies and flawless play.

Yamashita, ranked among the top 15 in the women’s world ranking, led the tournament with a total of 11-under par 133. Her consistency and ability to adapt to weather conditions were key to her success.

I didn’t make any particular adjustments to my swing, but the wind was strong, so I think the shots are important, as well as club selection and the direction I aim at the target.

Takeda and its Performance
