United States Recaptures Junior Ryder Cup in New York
The American team won this week in New York, managing to recover the prestigious cup. Asterisk Talley and Anna Fang maintained an undefeated record, leading the American team in an impressive singles session at the Nassau Country Club. The victory was secured with a score of 17 1/2 to 12 1/2 over Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup held on Thursday.
“We were down for a long time this morning, and these young people fought very hard and achieved their goal,” stated Suzy Whaley, captain of the U.S. team and former president of the PGA of America. “They saw a sea of blue on the leaderboard and knew exactly where they stood. They showed courage, perseverance, and didn’t give up.”
