United States Recaptures Junior Ryder Cup in New York
The American team achieved an outstanding victory this week in New York, reclaiming the cup at the Junior Ryder Cup. Asterisk Talley and Anna Fang maintained an undefeated record, leading the team’s performance in the singles session held at the Nassau Country Club. The final result was a resounding 17 1/2 to 12 1/2 victory over Europe, solidifying the American triumph on Thursday.

The event, which was extended for three days due to weather conditions, included competitions in foursomes, mixed foursomes, mixed fourballs, and individual formats. The European team had triumphed in the 2023 edition, held in Italy. With this victory, the United States extends its lead in the series, establishing a score of 8-4-1.We were at a disadvantage for much of the morning, but these young people fought with determination and achieved the goal. They saw a sea of blue on the leaderboard and knew exactly where they were. They showed courage, perseverance, and never gave up.
