The final result was 17 1/2 to 12 1/2 in favor of the United States over Europe, demonstrating the superiority of the home team.
Europe had won the cup in 2023, during the tournament held in Italy. With this victory, the United States extends its lead in the series to 8-4-1.
We were down this morning for a long time, and these young people fought very hard and got the job done,” commented Suzy Whaley, captain of the US team and former president of the PGA of America. “They saw a sea of blue on the leaderboard and knew exactly where they were. They showed courage, perseverance, and didn’t give up.
