Tiger Woods: Uncertain Health Status for the Masters

The legendary golfer Tiger Woods has kept a low profile regarding his participation in the upcoming Masters, following the TGL semifinals. Woods revealed that his health condition continues to be variable.

“I’ve been working on it. Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days. Disk replacement is not very fun,” Woods commented.

Woods, who underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery in October, and also suffered a rupture of his left Achilles tendon last March, explained that his body doesn’t recover like when he was 24 years old. “I have good days when I can do almost anything, and other days when it’s difficult just to move,” he added. The winner of 15 majors hasn’t played in an event since the Open Championship at Royal Troon in 2024. Woods has won the Masters five times, most recently in 2019. Meanwhile, Woods continues to be “the manager” of his TGL team, Jupiter Links. The team qualified for the playoffs and achieved a surprising victory over Boston Common on Tuesday night. Jupiter Links will face Los Angeles in the final that will begin on Monday. When asked about his possible participation, Woods indicated that the team formed by Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Akshay Bhatia will play against L.A., as it has been throughout the season.

“I’ve been trying to play in all these tournaments. I’ve been trying to come back. But it just hasn’t worked out that way… But the guys here, this team, we have a lot of fun, I really don’t want to mess up the lineup, I just want these guys to keep playing,” he concluded.
