TGL: Double Matchday Recap for Tuesday
The second day of consecutive doubleheaders in TGL took place on Tuesday night at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The New York Golf Club (NYGC) took on the challenge after the Atlanta Drive Golf Club competed in two matches on Monday.
The NYGC faced The Bay Golf Club and, subsequently, Boston Common Golf. Unfortunately, the New York team did not achieve victory in either match, losing to The Bay 5-3 and to Boston Common 9-2.Lineups and Appearances
In the first match, Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, and Matt Fitzpatrick represented the NYGC, while Cameron Young remained on the sidelines. For The Bay, Ludvig Åberg, Shane Lowry, and Wyndham Clark competed, with Min Woo Lee as inactive.
For the match against Boston Common, Young, Schauffele, and Fowler played for the NYGC. Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, and Adam Scott were the representatives of Boston Common, with Rory McIlroy out of the lineup.Key Moments of the Day

Åberg and Schauffele were in charge of starting the competition. Åberg achieved a 312-yard drive, while Schauffele reached 314 yards. The Bay took the hole thanks to a putt of almost 12 feet by Lowry.The Bay took the lead early, winning the first two holes and maintaining the momentum on the third, where Åberg holed an 11-foot putt, establishing a 3-0 lead.
In an emotional moment, Lowry celebrated his daughter’s birthday at the SoFi Center, sharing a cake and singing “Happy Birthday” with those present.In the 7th hole, with a 3-1 disadvantage, the NYGC had the opportunity to tie. Matsuyama made his season debut, participating in the second stroke of hole 1 for Boston Common.Scott was close to gaining an advantage for Boston on the 3rd hole, but his putt of almost 40 feet stayed centimeters away from the hole, resulting in a tie.In the 8th hole, Scott had his revenge and, with an 11-foot putt, secured the hole for his team, giving them a 4-2 lead.
