Vijay Singh, after a complicated start at the Senior PGA Championship, showed his veteran skills and climbed positions in the leaderboard.
After three consecutive bogeys on Friday’s first holes, the golfer reflected on what he could do over the weekend.
Your mind just goes crazy. But I’ve played enough to know there’s a lot of golf ahead.

Singh, visibly recovered from an injury that prevented him from participating in the Masters and the PGA Championship, signed a card of 68 strokes (-4) in the second round, with seven birdies that catapulted him to the top of the leaderboard at Congressional Country Club.
The former world number one shared the lead with Y.E. Yang and Cameron Percy, both with a total of 6 under par, at the halfway point of the PGA Tour Champions major tournament.
I’ve been hitting the ball well. I just hung in there and started making a couple of birdies here and there, getting shots back, and on the back nine I played some solid golf.

The 62-year-old player, originally from Fiji, is seeking his first victory on this course on the outskirts of Washington, where he has already played several times, including the 1997 U.S. Open.
Singh, who spent 32 weeks at the top of the world ranking two decades ago, has halved his practice routine, known for its rigor.
Y.E. Yang birdied four of his last five holes on Friday.
Padraig Harrington leads a large group two strokes away, with a total of 4 under par.
