Sei Young Kim Wins the BMW Ladies Championship
Seasoned golfer Sei Young Kim, with a decade of experience on the LPGA Tour, clinched victory at the BMW Ladies Championship after a final round of 67 strokes.
This triumph represents the 13th title in her career since she joined the tour in 2015, marking the end of a five-year winless streak, since her victory at the Women’s PGA Championship in 2020.
Kim, 32, completed the tournament with a total of 24 under par, totaling 264 strokes in the four rounds played at the Pine Beach Golf Links, located on the Korean peninsula. Despite a stumble on the 3rd hole, she achieved six birdies to secure the victory over her closest competitor.
Nasa Hataoka, from Japan, also signed a final round of 67 strokes, finishing with a total of 20 under par (268 strokes). Celine Boutier and Kim A-lim shared third place, with 67 and 66 strokes respectively.
Defending champion Hannah Green finished in fifth place with a total of 17 under par.
Last week, Jeeno Thitikul became the first player with multiple wins on the LPGA Tour this season, after a playoff in Shanghai.
After the International Crown, two more LPGA events will be held in Asia, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and in Japan.
