Justin Rose Recovers a Special Treasure from His Career
Golfer Justin Rose added a new trophy to his collection, but with a very special meaning. This time, the victory goes back 24 years and is full of emotional memories. Two of Rose’s friends noticed the trophy from his victory at the 2002 Victor Chandler British Masters at an auction and decided to acquire it for him. In that tournament, Rose defeated Ian Poulter by a single stroke, thus achieving his third professional win. Rose revealed that there were only four copies of that particular trophy and that she did not remember receiving a replica. However, this trophy has an incalculable value for him.The Instagram post shows a picture of her father holding the trophy. Rose explained that her father passed away from cancer three months after that victory and that this trophy is a tangible reminder of that day. Rose placed the trophy next to another one that her father won when he was 17 years old, creating a moving tribute.“I talk a lot about that victory as one of the most special of my career,” Rose commented.
