Patrick Reed Leads LIV Golf Dallas
Patrick Reed positions himself as the leader in the LIV Golf Dallas after a destacada performance on Saturday, where he signed a card of 68 strokes, four under par. Reed seeks his first victory in the circuit financed by Saudi Arabia.
After tying for the lead in the first round with his 4Aces teammate, Harold Varner III, Reed managed six birdies and two bogeys, reaching a total of 9 under par, with 135 strokes at Maridoe Golf Club.
The 34-year-old golfer, winner of the Masters in 2018 and with nine PGA Tour victories, is in a favorable position to win the title.
Paul Casey and Abraham Ancer share second position, while Varner, Tyrrell Hatton, Richard Bland and David Puig are in third place.
Bryson DeChambeau, a Dallas resident with a background in collegiate golf at SMU, had his second consecutive round with 72 strokes.
In the team competition, the 4Aces lead with a four-stroke advantage.
Brooks Koepka, who withdrew on Friday due to illness, did not return to play on Saturday. According to LIV rules, Koepka could have returned, but his results would only count towards the team standings.
Luis Carrera replaced Koepka for the rest of the first round.
