Bahrain – Patrick Reed signed a card of 67 strokes, five under par, in the second round of the European Tour’s Bahrain Championship on Friday. His performance put him ten strokes behind the leader, Calum Hill, of Scotland.
This result comes after Reed’s victory at the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday. In addition, his departure from LIV Golf was announced on Wednesday.
The American golfer will compete on the European circuit for the rest of the year. His goal is to finish high enough in the Race to Dubai standings to secure his full status on the PGA Tour in 2027.
Reed, who finished in a tie for 22nd place, made seven birdies during the day.
For his part, Hill completed an impeccable round of 61 strokes, without bogeys, accumulating a total of 16 under par in the tournament. This gave him a four-stroke lead over German golfer Freddy Schott, who recorded a 67.
