Jon Rahm and Legion XIII win the LIV Golf League final

In an exciting Sunday match, Jon Rahm and his team, Legion XIII, defeated Bryson DeChambeau and the Crushers in a hard-fought playoff to be crowned champions in the LIV Golf League team final.

The Legion XIII squad managed to tie the Crushers at 20 under par at The Club at Chatham Hills, leaving behind the Stinger team from South Africa, which finished with 12 under par in this three-team final.

Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton starred in a spectacular finish, with birdies on the last two holes of the regular round. In the playoff, they repeated the feat with two additional birdies on the second extra hole, securing the victory against DeChambeau and Paul Casey.

Rahm made a 6-foot putt and Hatton a short putt to secure the decisive birdies that gave them the victory.

Caleb Surratt led Legion XIII with an outstanding round of 64. Rahm and Tom McKibbin contributed with cards of 65, while Hatton signed a 66.

On the Crushers’ side, DeChambeau recorded a 62, Casey and Anirban Lahiri achieved 65, and Charles Howell III closed with 68, after a promising start with five birdies in the first seven holes.

This victory comes a week after Rahm successfully defended his LIV Golf season points title in Indiana, where, despite a closing with 60 strokes, he lost in a playoff against Sebastián Muñoz.
