Monday’s practice at the PGA Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, was interrupted by rain, affecting the presence of spectators.

Due to the expected adverse weather conditions, the organizers decided to close public access to the Quail Hollow Club course.

Ticket holders for Monday can use them on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Despite the inclement weather, the players were able to continue their practices for the second major of the season, as long as no lightning was reported in the area.

Rain is forecast for the first part of the week, but it is expected to improve by the start of the tournament on Thursday.

A similar incident occurred last month at the Masters, where fans were also evacuated early due to bad weather.
