LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The excitement at the ISCO Championship, interrupted by darkness, keeps fans on the edge of their seats. Paul Peterson leads the competition with a minimal advantage, as the tournament faces unexpected challenges.
The third round of the championship, played at Hurstbourne Country Club, was affected by a suspension due to darkness. Play was halted after Peterson, with an outstanding performance, managed a one-stroke lead over his pursuers.
Peterson, who is a rookie on the PGA Tour, demonstrated his skill by completing most of the round with an impressive performance. The 37-year-old player was five under par in the round and ten under par overall, showing remarkable consistency.
Chan Kim, who previously led the competition with a considerable lead, placed in second position. Kim had some setbacks, including bogeys on holes 11 and 12, which prevented him from maintaining his dominant position.
David Skinns and Luke List shared third place, demonstrating solid play. Skinns achieved a crucial birdie, while List, with a flawless round, positioned himself favorably on the leaderboard.
Twelve players were unable to complete the round, which adds an element of suspense to the tournament. The champion will receive a two-year exemption and a spot in next year’s PGA Championship.
The tournament was affected by two significant interruptions due to electrical storms. The first suspension lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes, and the second extended for 1 hour and 55 minutes, forcing the players to adapt to the changing conditions.
