Joaquín Niemann continues to reap successes in the LIV golf season. The talented Chilean golfer obtained his fifth victory of the year at the LIV Golf United Kingdom, demonstrating once again his skill on the course. Niemann, who leads the Torque GC team, completed the tournament with a score of 68 strokes, three under par, on Sunday. This allowed him to finish with a total of 17 under par (196 strokes) at the prestigious JCB Golf and Country Club in Rocester, England. His performance included five birdies and two bogeys, adding another title to his already impressive list of victories in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, and Virginia. The victory on Sunday earned Niemann a prize of $4 million. A curious fact is that this victory comes after the golfer fired his caddie and coach after failing to make the cut at the 2025 Open Championship.
Despite Niemann’s individual triumph, his team, Torque GC, failed to maintain their three-stroke lead over Legion XIII in their quest for their first team title since 2023. Legion XIII had an outstanding performance on Sunday, recording 14 under par to finish the tournament with an impressive total of 35 under par, surpassing Torque GC by eight strokes.
Niemann highlighted his ability to remain calm and flow in difficult situations, although he acknowledged the pressure exerted by Bubba Watson, who had an outstanding streak with four birdies and two eagles between holes 9 and 14. Watson, with six birdies in total, finished in second place with 14 under par after a final round of 65 strokes. The key for Niemann was a great shot on the 15th hole, which allowed him to get close to the hole and secure a crucial birdie.Well, I’m going to speak for the first two days because today I didn’t feel like I had my best game.

Caleb Surratt (65 on Sunday) made six birdies in a bogey-free round, finishing at 13-under par in the tournament, followed by Talor Gooch (66) at 11-under par. Regarding the team game, Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm expressed his satisfaction with his team’s fourth victory this season.I felt pretty happy to see that ball so close and make that birdie I think it was huge for the next three holes.

With the four results counting this year, I thought we played to our advantage. It was proven from the beginning and is being proven now.
