Becky Morgan Leads U.S. Senior Women’s Open

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Becky Morgan, representing Wales, birdied the 18th hole, a par 4, to finish with a 73, even par. This result puts her at the top of the leaderboard for the third round of the U.S. Senior Women’s Open, sharing the lead with Corina Kelepouris of Canada and Maria McBride of Sweden.

Kelepouris and McBride turned in cards of 72 at San Diego Country Club, tying Morgan, who led after the second round, with a cumulative score of 215 strokes, four under par.

Morgan, who turned 50 in September, is participating in this tournament for the first time.

Liselotte Neumann and Ashli Bunch are the only remaining players who are under par, both with a 74, finishing the day with a cumulative score of one under par.

Juli Inkster completed the day with 72 strokes, finishing one over par, as did Trish Johnson (73) and Leta Lindley (74).

Annika Sorenstam, who led the first round, finished four over par after a round of 75.
