Becky Morgan Wins U.S. Senior Women’s Open
CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Welsh golfer Becky Morgan demonstrated her superiority at the U.S. Senior Women’s Open, securing the victory with a final round of 3-under par (70 strokes). Her performance led to an impressive six-stroke lead over her closest competitor, Juli Inkster.
Morgan, who finished the tournament with a total of 7 under par (285 strokes) at the San Diego Country Club, celebrated his first participation in the event after turning 50 in September.
Inkster, 65, completed the round with a card of 71.
Liselotte Neumann placed third, finishing the tournament with par, after a round of 74.
Maria McBride and Corina Kelepouris, who shared the lead with Morgan at the start of the final round, recorded respective cards of 78 strokes, tying for fourth place with Leta Lindley (73), winner in 2024, with a total of 1 over par.
Annika Sorenstam, who led the competition in the first round, finished in eighth place, with a total of 3 over par, after a round of 72.
