LIV Golf League Modifies Format for Final Championship
The LIV Golf League has announced significant changes to the format of its season-ending championship, promising greater excitement and competition. The modifications, which will take effect at the tournament scheduled for August 22-24 at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth, Michigan, include the elimination of first-round exemptions for the top-ranked teams and the introduction of a play-in match. The team that scores two points will win the match and advance to the quarterfinals, while the losing team will be eliminated. All golfers from the remaining 12 teams will compete in match play on Friday and Saturday, in addition to the stroke play final on Sunday.I think they’ll see some teams get knocked out that they might not expect.
