LIV Golf Increases Prize Pools to $30 Million in 2026

The LIV Golf circuit has announced a significant increase in prize money for its competitions, which will reach $30 million in 2026, according to recent reports. This increase represents a significant financial commitment, with an additional $5 million allocated to the team competition. Starting next season, $20 million will be maintained for the individual stroke play format, while $10 million will be allocated to the team competition.

This prize structure contrasts with that of other renowned tournaments. For example, the eight featured events of the PGA Tour offer payouts of $20 million.

In addition, the tournament with the highest prize money on the PGA Tour, even among the majors, is The Players Championship, with $25 million. The 13 LIV Golf teams are designed to operate independently, allowing each captain to manage their own commercial agreements and player contracts. Currently, the responsibility for incorporating new players during the off-season primarily rests with the teams and captains. Large signing bonuses, which were a key feature in the early stages of the league, are a thing of the past.
