Miguel Ángel Jiménez Wins at the Principal Charity Classic
DES MOINES, Iowa – Miguel Ángel Jiménez won the Principal Charity Classic, held at the Wakonda Club, adding his third victory of the year on the PGA Tour Champions. The Spanish golfer beat Soren Kjeldsen and Cameron Percy after an exciting playoff.Jiménez finished the day with a birdie on the 18th hole, a 311-yard par 4, achieving a 70 (-2). In the playoff hole, he holed a four-foot putt to secure the victory. At 61 years old, the Spaniard demonstrated his experience and dominance, leading the tournament from the start with initial rounds of 63 and 66.

This victory represents Jiménez’s 16th triumph on the PGA Tour Champions. Previously, the Spanish golfer was crowned champion of the Trophy Hassan II in Morocco, in February, and the Hoag Classic in Newport Beach, California, in March.
Soren Kjeldsen and Cameron Percy tied with Jiménez with a total of 17 under par, after signing cards of 63 and 67, respectively. Kevin Sutherland was one stroke away with a round of 68.
