Richard Green Wins at the Rogers Charity Classic

CALGARY, Alberta – Australian golfer Richard Green secured victory at the Rogers Charity Classic on Sunday, marking his first title on the PGA Tour Champions. Green achieved a birdie on the 18th hole, a par 5, concluding a round of 65 strokes, five under par, and ensuring the victory by one stroke. Green surpassed the competition of Ricardo González, the Argentine player who also shone with birdies in the last two holes at Canyon Meadows, achieving a round of 65.

At 54 years old, Green achieved this triumph in his 91st participation in the over-50s circuit. He finished the tournament with a total of 18 under par, adding initial rounds of 65 and 62. Miguel Ángel Jiménez, leader of the Charles Schwab Cup and who led the second round after two consecutive rounds of 63 strokes, finished in third place with a total of 16 under par, after a round of 68. Jiménez leads the circuit with four victories this season. Charlie Wi finished in fourth place with 14 under par, after a second consecutive round of 64.
