Linn Grant leads The Annika with a solid performance

Golfer Linn Grant demonstrated her skill at The Annika, achieving an outstanding performance that positions her as the leader of the tournament. With a round of 65 strokes, five under par, Grant is in a privileged position to seek victory. Grant, with impressive precision, sank two 15-foot putts and demonstrated his dominance on the course. His impeccable game, with only one missed green and two missed fairways, led him to accumulate crucial birdies. The Swedish golfer, with 35 bogey-free holes, will seek her second LPGA victory. Grant has achieved success in various competitions, including the Nordic Golf League, the Sunshine Ladies Tour, and the Ladies European Tour, solidifying her career since 2020. With only this event and the CME Group Tour Championship remaining on the LPGA schedule, Grant is looking to secure a win in 2025. Jennifer Kupcho stays close, one stroke away, after a bogey-free day. Nataliya Guseva, with seven birdies in the last ten holes, and Grace Kim are also in contention, two strokes behind the leader.

“I hit a lot of greens. I think that has been my secret this week. I really trust my iron game, feeling that I can go for the pins. I’m having a lot of fun out there”, commented Grant.

The defending champion, Nelly Korda, had an up-and-down performance, overcoming some initial bogeys with birdies. Korda is six strokes behind the leader. Kupcho, although close to Grant, expressed her frustration with the pace of the game, attributing it to a shorter course.
