Steven Fisk Wins Sanderson Farms Championship
In an exciting day at the Jackson Country Club, Steven Fisk demonstrated his determination by securing his first victory on the PGA Tour at the Sanderson Farms Championship. With an impressive performance, Fisk achieved crucial birdies in the last three holes, culminating in a round of 8 under par and a final score of 64. The competition was intense, especially with Garrick Higgo, who kept pace for much of the tournament. Both golfers separated in the final holes, offering a memorable spectacle. The decisive moment came on the 16th hole, where Fisk holed a 40-foot birdie putt, followed by a response from Higgo with his own birdie. Fisk continued to press and, with a relentless approach, achieved a final birdie that secured the victory by two strokes.Higgo, despite a solid performance, lamented a missed putt on the 17th hole that cost him the chance to tie. Danny Walker, Vince Whaley, and Rasmus Hojgaard also had outstanding performances. Hojgaard, Whaley, and Walker, along with other players, are preparing for the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, the only PGA Tour event in Asia this year.I went out today with the attitude that nothing was going to stop me.
