Monday’s practice at the PGA Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, was interrupted by rain.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the organizers decided to close access to the fans at the Quail Hollow Club golf course.
Those who had tickets for Monday will be able to use them on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Despite the suspension for the public, the players were able to continue their practices, as long as no lightning was reported in the area.
Rain is expected to persist through the early days of the week, but the weather is forecast to improve for Thursday’s opening round.
A similar situation occurred last month at the Masters, where the fans had to leave the course early due to bad weather.
