Stewart Cink Wins Charles Schwab Cup

In an exciting final round at the Phoenix Country Club, Stewart Cink won the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on the PGA Tour Champions, also securing the season points title.

Cink, with an impressive round of 67 strokes under par, culminated the tournament with a total of 20 under par, establishing a two-stroke lead over Steven Alker.

Alker, who was leading the competition in the third round, finished in second place in the overall season standings, after a bogey on the 18th hole with a score of 70.

This is Cink’s third victory of the season and the fourth in 36 participations on the circuit for golfers over 50 years old. Throughout his career, Cink has achieved eight victories on the PGA Tour, highlighting his triumph at the 2009 British Open.

Freddie Jacobson, Jerry Kelly, and Tommy Gainey shared third place, with a total of 15 under par.
