Davis Chatfield Shoots Historic 59 at Compliance Solutions Championship
OWASSO, Okla. – Davis Chatfield had a memorable day, recording an albatross on the 15th hole, a par 5, and finishing with a 30-foot birdie, sealing an impressive round of 59 strokes (-12) at the Compliance Solutions Championship this Thursday.
Chatfield, 26, completed the last five holes of The Patriot Golf Club with a performance of 6 under par.
This achievement makes him the third player so far this year to achieve a score under 60 on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Previously, Myles Creighton and Adrien Dumont de Chassart had also achieved rounds of 59 at the Wichita Open.
Regarding professional golf, this is the eighth time a score of 59 has been achieved during the year.
Jake Knapp shot a 59 at the Cognizant Classic on the PGA Tour, and Sebastián Muñoz did the same at LIV Golf Indianapolis.
Additionally, on the PGA Tour Americas, Philip Barbaree Jr., Brett White, and A.J. Ewart also shot rounds of 59.
It’s the sixteenth time a score of 59 or less has been recorded on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Currently, Chatfield leads the competition with a two-stroke lead over Zecheng Dou, who turned in a card of 61.
