Brian Campbell Withdraws from Travelers Championship Due to Injury

Golfer Brian Campbell was forced to withdraw from the Travelers Championship before the start of the first round on Thursday due to a shoulder injury. Campbell, who won the Mexico Open in February, joins Corey Conners, who also had to withdraw from the tournament due to a wrist injury sustained during last week’s U.S. Open. Davis Riley replaced 32-year-old Campbell on the field. The Travelers Championship is the last of the eight signature events in 2025, with a prize purse of $20 million. After his victory on the PGA Tour in Mexico, Campbell rose to 97th in the Official World Golf Ranking, but has struggled to maintain that success. His best results in the subsequent 12 events are two ties for 32nd, including the Masters. In his last three appearances, Campbell has had two missed cuts and a withdrawal from the Charles Schwab Challenge.
