Dean Burmester Wins LIV Golf Chicago After Thrilling Playoff

Golfer Dean Burmester staged a spectacular comeback to win the LIV Golf Chicago, surpassing Jon Rahm and Josele Ballester in a thrilling playoff.

Burmester, after a complicated start that included three consecutive bogeys, demonstrated his composure and skill to secure the triumph.

The South African player achieved a crucial birdie on the 16th hole to regain the lead, but Rahm and Ballesteros responded with birdies on the 18th, thus forcing the playoff.

In the first extra hole, Burmester kept his cool and holed a six-foot birdie putt, securing the victory.

Burmester took home $4 million for his second LIV Golf triumph.

In addition to individual success, the Burmester, Stinger team also took the victory in the team playoff, surpassing Torque.

Joaquin Niemann, for his part, tied for 17th place, maintaining his position above Rahm in the individual ranking.
