Daniel Brown Crowned Champion at the BMW International Open
English golfer Daniel Brown conquered his second title on the European circuit by winning the BMW International Open. His outstanding performance culminated in a final round without bogeys, recording an impressive 66 (-6) on Sunday.
Brown, ranked 170th in the world, started the day with a slight advantage over his compatriot Jordan Smith. From the beginning, he demonstrated his dominance by getting birdies on four of the first six holes. He added two more birdies in the second half of the course.
The highlight came on the 18th hole, a par 5, where Brown reached the green in two strokes and secured the victory with two putts, finishing the week with a total of 22 under par. Visibly emotional, the golfer couldn’t hold back the tears as he left the green.
This victory marks Brown’s second triumph on the European Tour, after his success at the ISPS Handa World Invitational last year. Since February, at the Qatar Masters, he had not managed to place among the top ten.
Jordan Smith, for his part, signed a card of 67 strokes, securing second place alone.
