Brittany Lang Joins Solheim Cup Team as Assistant to Captain Angela Stanford

The U.S. Solheim Cup team captain, Angela Stanford, has announced Brittany Lang as the third assistant for the upcoming edition of the tournament. This event will take place at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. Lang, 39, winner of the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open, joins Stanford and fellow assistants Kristy McPherson and Paula Creamer. Together, they will lead the top twelve American golfers in their match against Europe in this biennial event.

This is probably one of the greatest honors I’ve had in my career. I am excited to learn, help, and experience the environment as an assistant captain.

Brittany Lang
Lang has represented the United States in the 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 editions of the Solheim Cup. Her partnership in the four-ball format with Brittany Lincicome is the most successful in the history of the event, with a perfect record of 4-0-0.

The qualities that have always impressed me about Brittany are her confidence and her attitude. If Lang has ever felt disturbed, you would never know it.

The United States regained the Solheim Cup in September in Gainesville, Virginia, preventing Europe from winning the trophy for the fourth consecutive time.

The Solheim Cup will be held from September 11 to 13, 2026, where the United States will seek its first away victory since 2015.
